Me in a nutshell: My name is Leigh An Coplin.  I am 41.  I’ve been married 10 years and have two daughters.  I have a degree in Journalism and worked for three newspapers for over 10 years collectively.  My last day of career work was the day my first daughter was born.

I was raised on a farm in Kansas with the church being a rock in our family.  We went to church every Sunday, where my mom played the piano, my dad was an elder and my grandmother was the 5^th grade Sunday school teacher.   My sisters and I would spend hours at my grandma’s kitchen table memorizing the books of the Bible, the Commandments, the Beatitudes and numerous verses.  I didn’t realize how golden those times were until I was an adult.  My grandparents had planted seeds of wisdom in me.

But with all that Christian upbringing, I still feel like my knowledge is very green.  I know the major stories in the Bible, but not all the characters, the full understanding behind the stories, all the do’s and don’ts and the conflicts between free will and predestination, and evolution and creation.

I am so excited about exploring the Bible this year, gleaning God’s wisdom and having Rob Fields on board to help sort out any confusion.  I am looking forward to the changed person I will be in a year, more knowledgeable about God’s wishes for us, His love for us and the pride I have in being closer to Him.
